The prints in this section are mostly very
detailed steel engravings illustrating typical scenes from various parts of the
world. They are on good quality paper with no printing on the
reverse. The right hand thumbnail is a close-up which shows the quality of
the engraving.

Ysselmonde $20. This is probably early 19th century and has a great
picture of a early steamer. The image is 4"X7" on yellowed but not
foxed paper.

The Sun Rising in a Mist $35. The image is 8"X10"
on heavy paper, which is 11"X15". This is a 19th century steel
engraving of a painting. It is in very good condition and has amazing
detail, as can be seen in the thumbnail on the right.
Whalers $25. The image is 7"X10" on thick paper
12"X17". This is a 19th century steel engraving of a painting.
The image and several inches around it are in perfect condition with no foxing,
however there are some small tears on the extreme edges. Nothing on the reverse
side.

The Palesades- Hudson River 1837. $20. The image is 5"X7" on somewhat
yellowed paper with some foxing, mostly around the edges.

Vessel Types. German 1851. $45. 9"X11" with a very small margin
around the image. This is an excellent steel engraving representing the various
types of vessels from the mid 19th century.

Ft Rouge 1837 $15. The image is 4"X6" on 8"X11"
heavy paper with some foxing on the image and in the margins.

Woolwich $25. 4" X 6 1/2" image on 8" X 10" heavy
paper. There is a little foxing especially around the edges of the paper but
very little in the image. The brig is of early 19th century design and it
is unusual to find an engraving with such clear detail of the inside of a boat.

The River Dort 1837 $20. The image is 4"X6" on
8"X11" heavy paper. There is one nearly unnoticeable bit of foxing in
the image and one larger place at the margin of the paper.
